If you've had a taste of what it's like underwater and want more, but you don't have time to complete the Open Water course, then this course is for you.
It consists of theory based lessons and underwater exercises, as well as 3 confined water dives and 2 open water dives - about half that of the Open Water course.
On your next holiday, or at home, whenever and wherever suits you, you will only need to do a further 2 confined water dives and open water dives to complete the Open Water course.
For the time-challenged. If you are an Open Water Diver, but don't have time to complete the whole Advanced Open Water course, you can still train towards it by completing some of the 5 dives (and knowledge reviews) required. The remaining dives and study can be completed later, in any location.
Advanced Open Water course5 dives and 5 knowledge reviews
The aim of this course is to improve your navigation skills underwater and to prepare you for diving at greater depths up to 30m and night diving. This course consists of 5 dives, with more emphasis on hands-on approach by which you learn to control your buoyancy as if it were second nature as well as simply improving your style and specific techniques.
This is a special course designed for children aged 8 and over. It is the ideal way to introduce them to the excitement of diving in a fun and safe environment. They will be shown how to use simple diving equipment and take their first breaths underwater, but at this tender age they will be limited to going just two meters deep. The children will be under the constant care and supervision of PADI Instructors.
This course is for those who are thinking about diving as a career. It expands all the skills you have learnt throughout all your diving training over the years. You will master your leadership skills and your overall knowledge of diving and life in the underwater world. On completion of this course you will have the ability and the certification to work in the industry anywhere in the world. As a Divemaster you supervise diving activities and assist PADI Instructors in courses. So if you want a job where every day is an adventure, don't hesitate!
Emergency First Response
This course is a PADI requirement to be eligible to participate in the Rescue Diver course. The purpose of this course is to prepare you for emergency situations that can be used in daily life and not just in diving situations. You never know when an unfortunate situation could arise so obtaining these skills could one day prove to be vital.The EFR course encompasses:
- CPR for adults, children and infants.
- First Aid for adults, children and infants.
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.
- Emergency First Response Instructor and Instructor Trainer courses.
Although diving is exciting, there is always a chance that something could go wrong at any time. This course prepares you in case an emergency situation arises in or out of the water. If you are at the stage where you would like to take this course, then you are already aware of some emergency situations that you may one day come across, such as an unconscious diver at the bottom, or a lost diver. The course involves 10 different scenarios improving a range of different skills with one final scenario where you put all your new skills to work. An exam will follow after thorough study of a comprehensive textbook. As a reward, you will have the satisfaction of being a reliable and confident diver with a Rescue Diver Certificate to prove it.
Open Water Diver
If you really enjoy being part of the underwater world and wish to expand your diving skills, this course is for you. Your certification is internationally recognised, and you will be able to dive anywhere in the world. The course consists of theory based lessons and practical underwater execises that will develop the relevant knowledge and skills required for you to become a competent diver, all under the supervision of a PADI Instructor.
