Four Days Camel SafariFirst Day:
Dahab - Wadi Zaghara - Wadi Hammam
Drive from Dahab to Wadi Zaghara. After we have loaded the luggage on the camels, we start with the tour in Wadi Zaghara. Our path leads through a broad valley, flanked by huge granite rocks, between many high acacia trees. We stay in Wadi Hammam.
Wadi Hammam - Abu Ghibtan
Continuing through Wadi Hammam, we enter a volcanically created landscape characterized by a wide valley. A pass over the mountains leads to our overnight accommodation on the picturesque plain of Abu Ghibtan. From here we enter a beautiful sandstone area. When we look into the distance beyond the soft sand carpet, we see numerous fantastically eroded rock formations.
Jebel Makhroum - Hedudah
After breakfast, you will start walking over this huge sand meadow. Our destination is Jebel Makhroum, an impressive sandstone cliff that has been eroded by erosion for thousands of years. We can climb into their cave and admire the surrounding sand plain. After lunch and a siesta, we are near Hedudah, the highest dune of South Sinai, and 1000 meters high above sea level. As we descend from the dune, we arrive at our accommodation. The winding and sandy valley is sheltered from the wind and looking up into the starry sky, we see the peaks of the high, flanking rocks.
Wadi Hedudah - Dahab
One of the wonders of this sandstone area is its thick carpet of soft sand - you almost feel like walking barefoot! Now we go steadily downhill before we reach a wide plain, the mouth of Wadi Hedudah. We take leave of the camels and the Bedouins and return to Dahab. Overnight in a hotel.
